Worship today went okay, although it felt too well-rehearsed, if you know what I mean. Just one of those days. Got my copy of Hello Love, thanks to Kar Foon. I was quite amused to see that the first two tracks were mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, as the music he and his brother Tom usually mix are a far cry from Tomlin's songs. Still, it must be said that the resulting mix is very slick, even when compared to Tomlin's earlier albums, Arriving and See The Morning. I like Ed Cash's production, but sometimes I get the feeling that some of the songs would fare better in a live setting. Finished reading A Good & Happy Child, and I can safely say that it doesn't quite live up to the blurbs. It's still a good book, since Vintage has never disappointed me, but if you're expecting The Exorcist for the new millennium, don't bother picking this one up.
