Left service after the sermon to head to Yi Hua's barbeque-cum-fundraiser. It was raining cats and dogs and plenty of other animals too. I had to transfer from 186 to 156, so I got off opposite CJC along the PIE. The first 156 that I tried to flag down, the damn driver obviously wasn't paying attention because he wasn't sure whether to stop for me or not and ended up just speeding off, even though I was standing there like a fool with my wallet already out. In any case, I waited for the next one to come along, listening to Victoria Beckham's first and only album (which is actually sort of okay, considering when it came out). Arrived at Yi Hua's place a bit damp, but in one piece. Once again, ran into people there whom I haven't seen in ages. Like Shaun, who was nice enough to send me to Bishan MRT after the barbeque ended. I didn't even know he'd got his license... This week: Religious Week |
