The cooking class at RGS was somewhat interesting. I didn't disastrously burn anything, not to mention that everything my partner and I cooked was edible, at the very least. I think the cleaning up is the most tiring part of cooking, seriously. Okay, perhaps it's because the room was really stuffy and you know how I can't stand tropical weather as a general rule, so maybe cooking in cold weather will be less of a chore. At least I know I can cook pasta, so I now have at least two choices for my meals - pasta and sandwiches. Haha! Had intended to go straight home after the cooking class, but I somehow ended up going to watch a movie with some of the MOE people. We caught Malos Hábitos at The Cathay, or Bad Habits, for those of you who (like me) don't know Spanish. To summarise, it's a show about the toll that eating disorders take on people. It was morbidly fascinating, but it didn't ruin our appetites too much, as we headed to Billy Bomber's right after the movie. Chatted for a couple of hours, and since people like Hong Kin were around, there was plenty of bitching. Haha! Like I said, Hong Kin's a very nice guy, as long as you ignore whatever he says or does. That was definitely one of my better comebacks in living memory. Was going to grab dinner on the way home, but wound up heading to Suntec with Petrina and Yi Han. This was after our standing in the middle of Dhoby Ghaut MRT with Jared, carrying on a long discussion about tomorrow's food trail. Had dinner at NYDC, and we wound up chatting for another couple of hours about all sorts of things. That was good fun and I'd like to do it again before I fly off. That's like a blatant invitation to all my friends to treat me to lunch/dinner before I fly off. Haha... |
