Just had my cell over at my place, and there was twice the amount of food that was actually necessary. Even if everyone who was originally supposed to show up did, there'd still have been too much food! Oh well, better too much than too little. Tonight was quite an entertaining session! Tuition earlier in the day was okay. He finished the comprehension too quickly, so I gave him another one. His Literature results were better than his English ones this term, which was a bit surprising. Have to teach him some techniques for writing different types of essays the next time I see him, as I think he's concentrated too much on narratives (his personal preference) and hasn't had a chance to develop skills for other types of writing, like argumentative or persuasive. I counted, and I've only got eight more lessons with him, at least if we stick to this fortnightly schedule. Enough time to give him some tips that'll hopefully see him through. I wonder if anyone I know would be able to continue giving him tuition for English when I'm gone? Want to give it a try, Shirley?
