Teacher Day/Nurses Day/No Diet Day/Freud Day/Beverage Day
2008-05-06 @ 10:46 p.m.

Have been trying to crack the Ricochet series, because it used to be one of my favourite games. I was actually going to download Civilization IV, but then I figured it wasn't worth the effort, seeing as how so many people weren't able to successfully install what had been uploaded as a torrent. Now if I could just remember where I saw it being sold, I'd go and buy it. I'm a bit perplexed that my tutee still persists in thinking of Ralph in Lord Of The Flies as a dictator figure, when it's obviously Jack who is. His interpretation rests on Ralph's pronouncement that nobody can interrupt the person wielding the conch, except for Ralph himself, which if you ask me, is hardly grounds for labelling him a dictator. Leadership, after all, has its privileges, and in this case, the privilege appears to be quite sensible. Someone has to be empowered to keep their meetings focused. I also think my tutee brings too much of the real world into his interpretation of literature, which generally results in his interpolating too much that isn't textual analysis into his answers. Must highlight that to him the next time I see him...
