Gossip Girl is an addictive show. I know because every time I start watching an episode, Audrey, who's seated at her laptop beside me, will just stop whatever she's doing and start staring at my screen instead of her own. There are just so many shows out there that I want to watch. I'm very discriminating when it comes to what I record off the television, but if it's torrents I'm looking for online, it's basically a great opportunity to unearth the stuff that I just didn't have time to catch when it was airing. A lot of it is stuff that's actually totally completed its run, like Alias, Angel, Charmed, just to name a few. Then there's stuff that's still current, like Bones, Dexter, The Tudors, again just to name a few. I really have got to buy some DVD-Rs soon! Even when I get my own laptop, there's no way I'll be able to store all of this in it. I think when it comes to shows, there isn't such a strong need to own the physical DVDs. Firstly, you have to wait until the entire season's aired before there's even hope for a DVD. Secondly, there's not much point in paying to own something that you can record. Unlike with music, quality's not such a big issue for shows, in my opinion anyway. As long as the AVI file isn't plagued with glitches, I'm satisfied!
