Today's facilitation went quite fine. The group was unexpectedly small, and they were all prefects, so discipline was a non-issue. Am seeing them again next Wednesday, if nothing crops up. I like the school's buildings! They have that slightly rustic feel that's missing in all these renovated and spruced up schools. Kind of like why some of my friends didn't like the new RJC buildings when we first shifted over from Ghim Moh. The weight of history falls particularly light in Singapore, where just about everything's in a constant state of flux. I think among the few objects that'll never be touched are things like the Cenotaph, the Kranji War Memorial, and other assorted monuments. Though even they'll probably get made over superficially to be more tourist-friendly eventually. Also accepted a full-day slot for Thursday after next, so I've got to go down to the office tomorrow afternoon for a special briefing. Will take the chance to bring back all the EVs I've been holding onto, as I've realised that they make quite a hefty stack already. Ordered my Hoban books on Amazon UK, and many thanks to Chernise for helping to bring them over! I'm faintly amused that the shipping charges cost more than the books themselves...
