Caught Lucky 7 with Ben Woon and Kay Hwee at Sinema Old School. The Q&A with Sun Koh (executive producer) and Sunny Pang (lead actor) was interesting, but what I found most informative was actually the sixth segment of the film, as it helped to clarify what had happened in the preceding five segments, as well as being an interesting example of breaking the fourth wall. At least I think it was considered breaking the fourth wall. The little segment in the Thai restaurant after the credits rolled was funny too! Lucky 7 is conceptually interesting, but like Sun Koh said, the game of exquisite corpse could definitely have been taken further. Nonetheless, it made for a rollercoaster viewing ride. Catch it, if you haven't already. The Substation's added two screenings on April 20, tickets available at the box office. |
