Had my hair cut today by my favourite barber, Edwin. I think he was bored because he was the only one working today, so we ended up talking more than usual, including about random stuff like using Friendster and how I should apply to defer my reservist soon since I'm going overseas to study. He told me that if I want to dye or highlight my hair, he might be able to get his boss to give me a discount. I told him I'd consider it, but in about half a year's time because I seriously need to let my hair grow out. (I know I keep saying that, but I always get impatient and crop it back to its usual short length again!) This is why he's my favourite barber. That and he's also a real perfectionist when it comes to cutting hair. I just find it weird that he's working in a neighbourhood barbershop instead of some fancy salon in town, because he's too young for the former (he looks at most five years older than me), whereas I could totally picture him in the latter. Also went back to BooksActually again, almost definitely for the last time before it moves to Ann Siang Road. I took more pictures and bought the "niche travel guide" that's being exhibited there until Friday. The exhibit's called A Little Beijing, and it's pretty cool stuff, which is why I bought it. Haha! I think besides being able to afford expensive clothes, another reason that I want to be rich is so that I can buy random stuff like this without feeling the pinch. Have to wake up early to play mahjong at Kay Hwee's tomorrow morning... |
