Teddy Bear Day/World Thinking Day/Popcorn Day/George Washington Day
2008-02-22 @ 11:55 p.m.

Garage was fun, and I wasn't alone because a bunch of people I didn't know were going were there. Haha! Played mahjong at Kay Hwee's house before that, because when Ben Woon, Ka Tsai and I were at BooksActually, one of them suddenly said we should play mahjong sometime soon. So we did, in one of those totally random decisions that somehow just is the right thing to do at that point. The whole carpe diem thing. I bought four books! So I'm broke again. Not as bad as last month, because I'm still owed money for one The Pillowman ticket, but still poor nonetheless. The following pithy aphorism sums me up: I have the mentality of a trust fund brat and the bank account of a pauper. One of the things I've decided not to squander money on excessively is Granado Espada, since I'm not much of a hardcore gamer anyway. (That and collecting RNPCs is becoming too expensive and time-consuming.) So no topping up G-Points until maybe the last week of March. Must have discipline! On books though, I can't stint. I can give up buying CDs (because you know a lot of stuff really worth listening to isn't commercially available/viable) and clothes (because the stuff I like is generally appallingly out of my league and we all need something to lust after and aspire to owning). Books? Too affordable. I will seriously, seriously, seriously get a job sometime soon.
