Sitting in the sanctuary, listening to my pastor preach isn't quite what I had in mind for a countdown, but I am content. There will be time enough for discontent in the days/weeks/months/years to come. I think it's quite funny how all the YE people are whispering "Happy New Year!" to each other. They'll be getting the evil eye from the other people in the sanctuary, of course, but I think those people have just forgotten what it's like to be young. Until they remember and learn to be more accepting, the youth won't feel comfortable in the main service. I'm not saying they aren't sometimes disruptive, but hey, so are babies who wail and little kids who burst into the aisle after Sunday School's over. We should all take a step back and give each other some space. This is a house of God after all! Had dinner with Hui Juan, Moses, Sarah and Shirley at Swensen's in Marina Square. Shirley's treat. I hope she wins that Peugeot, because I want my Havaianas. Haha...
