Cookie Cutter Day/Wright Brothers Day/Saturnalia
2007-12-17 @ 10:01 p.m.

Didn't sleep a wink, as expected, except for about an hour when my parents popped out to send the girls to church for their camp and buy breakfast from Burger King. Told them to wake me up so that I could continue working on the testimonials. Ended up enlisting Derrick's help, for which I will pay him a portion of Eugene's money. Trudged down to RJC to hand them in. I miss that place more than I realise, I think, for all sorts of reasons that I could attempt to analyse, but others have already said it so much better than me. One day, when I'm a bit older and know for certain which friendships from that phase of my life have survived into adulthood, I will reminisce. I suppose university is the make-or-break period, when you decide who are the people you want to keep in your life, however near or far you place them from yourself, the centre of your little universe. If I've ever gone out with you during the past two years while I was in NS, it means I want you to stick around. Well, at least until I'm 30, by which time if we're still friends, you're probably stuck with me for life anyway, whether you like it or not. Haha! Watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium with Derrick and Shou Jie. Stunning visual effects were plentiful, but there really isn't much of a plot once you stop to think about it. I did think the final scene where Natalie Portman was "conducting" the store was a bit bizarre after the first 10 seconds. I don't know if I can believe in myself enough to sparkle...
