Mole Day/Do-It-Yourself Day/Legal Assistant's Day
2007-10-23 @ 8:53 p.m.

Spent most of the day in front of the computer, although I did spend a couple of hours watching The Good Girl. Taped it a few months back and never got around to watching it till now. Personally, I think it's an awful film. I just looked it up in Wikipedia, and I quote: "The story is a modern reworking of Flaubert's Madame Bovary and Lawrence's Lady Chatterly's Lover." Well, all I can say is, what the heck went wrong? The premise of the movie is fine; I can even empathise with it, the whole desire to trade in a life that seems to be going nowhere for the myriad of possibilities that exist beyond the sphere of la vie quotidienne. What I didn't like was the execution. Somehow Jennifer Anniston hooking up with Jake Gyllenhaal falls on the wrong side of convincing...
