Canadian Thanksgiving/Columbus Day/Tube Top Day/Taiiku no Hi

Woke up this morning with a stomachache, and made it as far as downstairs before my resolve crumbled and I figured, what the heck, nobody's going to give me an award for reporting to camp despite feeling out of sorts. So I went to see a doctor and got an MC. Would have asked for two days, but I chickened out at the last minute. Looks like I might not need to have bothered though, since I seem to be coming down with a throat infection. Spent the whole day watching Night Watch and Day Watch on VeohTV, which is just totally awesome. The movies were pretty cool, in a Lord Of The Rings meets X-Men kind of way. Still think the tetralogy will be better, so I'm going to start reading it right away. Hope tomorrow won't be a busy day! It's not supposed to be, for me anyway. I deserve a break, as do not a few of my colleagues. Too bad we can't even count on the rest to pick up the slack...
