International Day Of Peace/World Gratitude Day/Pecan Cookie Day/Yom Kippur
2007-09-21 @ 10:00 p.m.

Thus ends what has been an unusually peaceful week in camp, all things considered. Almost finished with Sam Taylor's The Amnesiac, and the novel really starts to sparkle if you can make it through the first half. It borrows and references so many other writers, thematically and stylistically, Borges and Ishiguro for starters, but the resulting combination is exquisite. Remember how I was lamenting the state of contemporary literature? Well, looks like there is hope after all. Haha! Going to try to finish the book tonight, so that I can start on the Minister Faust novels over the weekend. I'm looking for new music. Any recommendations?

This week:

Religious Freedom Week
