I know it's wrong to sit in the seat of mockers, but some people are really clueless. There won't always be someone to cover up your mistakes! That's all I have to say. Sigh. Sometimes I wish I knew how to be perfectly frank and honest with people. I can be brutally direct when I want to be, but it's usually with close friends or people that I can afford to put down. When it comes to that amorphous category between acquaintance and friend, I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. I feel a bit hypocritical now. Maybe I should just say what I really think? Yet that might open an irreparable breach that I cannot afford to deal with. I guess I have to ask God to teach me to be more forgiving. Today's sermon about humility and submission was really meant for me. It's so easy to feel proud about my own abilities when I'm comparing myself to other people, especially when they're in a position of seniority. I believe that there is a lesson for me to learn in my present situation, and I even know what that lesson is. I'm just too preoccupied and caught up with other things in my life to seriously think about it. Yet all I really want is for the music to glorify God and edify the people...
