Daffodil Day/Can Opener Day/Waffle Day/Potato Days (Minnesota)
2007-08-24 @ 10:24 p.m.

Nothing like a good horror story to make your day. Reading Yusuke Kishi's The Crimson Labyrinth, which is recommended for fans of Lost or Battle Royale. Well, I like Lost (although I think the first season was still the best), and I would have watched Battle Royale if I could have found the time, so I quite like this novel. I didn't think it was possible to be even more disappointed with the behaviour of some of my colleagues (having already been completely disillusioned earlier this week), but it happened. Why can't people learn to accept responsibility for their mistakes, instead of blaming circumstances? Seriously, just grow up. I think the people who got yelled at today have had it coming for a long time, and it was immensely satisfying to see them get what they deserved. That's not to say that everyone in the store is to be criticised; on the contrary, some are exemplary NSFs, though not without their own shortcomings because nobody's perfect. So yeah, what a way to end the week. Looking forward to cell tomorrow...
