Soft Ice Cream Day/Chinese Valentine's Day/Potato Day/Spicy Food Day/Aviation Day
2007-08-19 @ 9:46 p.m.

Learn to move into a time of free worship. That's what I need to do to take my worship leading to the next level. I could feel when the timing was right, but I guess I'm just not comfortable doing it yet. I honestly thought today's worship was great though, at least in terms of how the music flowed. I'm usually technically competent, which is often more to the band's credit than mine, but today felt special. There are just some Sundays when I know that things went better than okay, but it's not about me or the band. I complain a lot to Shirley about the restrictions when it comes to planning for main service worship, but at the end of the day I really just enjoy leading the congregation in worshipping God. I often find myself at a loss for words when people thank me for that Sunday's worship. I'm just a guy doing his best with a God-given talent. (I would like to play instruments better though. It's a bit sad to sing so well but play so terribly! I guess I need discipline to practise.) So yeah, don't thank me, thank Him!
