Maternal grandmother passed away this morning, so I'm on compassionate leave till Friday. It also means having to be present at the funeral wake, which is a bewildering affair. Sat around until late at night, reading The Line Of Polity and listening to people chatter all around me. Am not going to Judith's production after all, as it clashes with the funeral. Trying to find someone to buy it off me, but it's unlikely to happen. Started on one of the lesson plans today, but I left before lunch, so I'll get back to it next Monday. Nothing major, just a few minor changes in the formatting, which only a really anal person would consider important, let alone necessary. It's really just tinkering unnecessarily with something that's working perfectly fine. You know what's the funniest part? There's very little talk about the actual content of the lesson plan, because hardly anyone ever reads it all the way through. The sad thing is that I do, so I have to reformat the lesson plan as well as modify the content so that it actually makes sense, just in case someone literate ever comes along and reads it. Who the heck teaches following the prompts in the lesson plans anyway?
