I Love Horses Day/Respect Canada Day/No-Hitter Day/Ice Cream Day
2007-07-15 @ 9:37 p.m.

Was at West Mall just now, so I popped into the library to grab some more books. Picked up a book of poems by Andrew Marvell, because I've decided that I should start reading something other than contemporary literature. Have forgotten what's going on in camp tomorrow, although I suspect it involves taking a lesson or two. The only good thing about being busy with lessons is that you stop dreading the ringing telephone. Glanced through the names of this operator platoon. Seriously, Singaporeans are giving their kids stranger and stranger names. It's not as bad as in Hong Kong, where the names are just downright bizarre, but I'm seeing more and more obscure names locally. Sometimes I wonder if the parents even know what the names mean. Randomly, Joshua knows Hansel Tan. Yeah, it's a small world, six degrees of separation and so on. Classes starting again this Thursday and Saturday! I'm going to go shop for clothes on the second-last day of the Great Singapore Sale. How sad is that?

This week:

Hug Week
