Flag Day/Career Nursing Assistants' Day/Strawberry Shortcake Day/Army's Birthday
2007-06-14 @ 10:34 p.m.

The peace was finally shattered, but only for some of us. I've taken to ranking people in the store based on how lazy they are. Just one of those amusing things you can afford to do when you're not one of the lazier ones. Got my hair cut today, and it was a new guy working at the barber's. Very meticulous fellow, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm not saying my hair now looks fabulous; it's still just the usual, just that the guy really took pains to get it right. I'm just one of those people who have to work at looking good, which is probably the case for most people anyway, but still, it'd have been nice to be born with a golden genetic lottery ticket. Think I'll just buy board shorts from the pasar malam tomorrow, too lazy to head down to town or wherever to buy them from a shop. Finished reading Dan Franck's Separation on the way home in the bus, and I feel like I need a hug. The descriptions hit a little close to home, despite my not having ever been married. It's the sheer hopelessness of the protagonist's loving that gets to me most. Somehow I get the feeling that in my future relationships, I'm probably going to end up the one loving more than I'm loved...
