First night of classes went well. Didn't get lost! Lecturer's engaging, so this feels like it's going to be fun. The only downer's actually having to write essays. Haven't done that in ages! Intellectually rusty. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to learning new stuff. Many thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, even though some of you probably had some sort of reminder. (Like Facebook!) Birthdays are a reality check, I suppose, as you realise that you aren't the centre of anyone's universe but your own. People will forget your birthday, even if they don't mean to. 20 feels really adult, and yet not properly so like I imagine 21 would. I don't feel particularly grown up, and I don't suppose I will until I've lived abroad, away from friends and family.
