School Nurse Day/Tear Tags Off Mattresses Day/Receptionists Day/Victory Day (Russia)/Great Northern Beans Day

I've finally hit upon the perfect analogy to describe our position in camp - rent boys. Someone calls and wants something. We dance like marionettes and service his needs. Then we get dumped aside until the next time. Heck, maybe even rent boy is too positive a comparison. We're more like whores, selling labour instead of sex. I'm genuinely sorry if you find that too graphic and offensive, but it really is the case, no point pretending otherwise. Decency, more often than not, is inversely proportional to rank. Didn't manage to get much sleep in camp after the endurance exercise, and tomorrow doesn't look like it's going to be restful either. That totally sucks! Borrowed a couple of books from the library today before I met Ben Woon to buy Macbeth tickets. When I'm done with them I'll borrow those Vikram Seth poetry anthologies I saw on one of the shelves. Never did finish reading The Golden Gate, his novel in verse.
