I've decided that I hate conducting OM course more than setting up drill. At least the external instructor seems to have learnt some manners since the last time he came! Had to attend a cohesion event today, which I detest. It's so fraudulent, the whole rationale for it. You can't be ordering someone around the whole day and suddenly morph into a friend to chill out with at the end of the day. That's why it's well nigh impossible to make real friends here. Rank gets in the way. The only good thing about cohesion events is the food. (Though my friends and I suspect that half of today's buffet actually came from the cookhouse!) That said, my usual feeling at cohesion events is wanting to get away as soon as possible. If my bosses really want to be my friend, they should either work me less or pay me more!
