Ambivalence Day/Plumber's Day/Pigs In A Blanket Day/Rice Festival (South Carolina)
2007-04-24 @ 9:42 p.m.

I think the worst kind of people are those who are unassailably convinced that their way is right, and it's their way or no way at all. Today has been an awful day. It's too complicated to explain, but basically it involves my team IC. Like who else? Let's just say that today has been a day that's convinced me wielding power over others is going to prove infintely more gratifying than behaving decently towards them, morality and humanity be damned. Seriously. Am probably overreacting. A little. I'm beginning to approve of benevolent dictatorship, as long as I'm among those holding the reins of power. Frankly though, I don't give a damn who shares power with me, as long as I have a share! According to Eugene, such a double standard disqualifies me from being deserving of power, at least under his set of criteria. To which my rejoinder is that even the most decent of men have a dark streak. Like I always maintain, NS doesn't change people, just exacerbate existing facets of their character. (Believe it or not, this entire entry is composed of a series of SMSes to Eugene, edited with continuity and grammar in mind.)
