Blithe Spirit was funny enough, although I think the first act was weaker than the second, and the ultimate denouement fell just short of being convincing. Tan Kheng Hua was brilliant though, every time she came onstage. I think the adaptation to fit a Singaporean context was okay, but it was unevenly done, which made for some jarring effects. Plus the maid's character, while amusing, really didn't add much to the play until the final scenes, and then not very persuasively. So yeah, Blithe Spirit could have been better, but it was decent, I suppose. Lots of plays coming up in May that I want to watch, and for once, the tickets are cheap! I just remembered something so random about the summary exercise. At some point in the late afternoon, we realised that there were two dragonflies perched on my friend's antennae, one on each. It's quite bizarre, because they just stayed there for a really long time, like they'd been glued there or something. Something to do with the radio waves, perhaps?
