Celebrated Shirley's birthday by going to Holland Village for dinner and dessert. Saw Allen there, or rather he saw me and called to me from across the road, and it took me like an hour before I suddenly realised that it was his birthday too. The service at Crystal Jade was kind of bad, and the food wasn't anything to rave about. We waited like half an hour beyond when they said they'd have our table ready, which was bad in itself. It was quite funny though, because people like Gerald kept trying to ask for things in Cantonese and the person serving us totally couldn't understand him! Then we headed to tcc for dessert, where the girls were being retarded. Jokes aside, like I told Tim in the car, just because two people look good doesn't mean they have to be together, however much that panders to social sensibilities. Besides, it's not like I asked for help with anything in the first place, so the whole point is kind of moot. End of story. I don't mind the jokes. It's when you expect me to behave as if your little joke were reality that I get bloody annoyed...
