Let Someone Else Clean Day/Coffee Cake Day/World Health Day/Ham Radio Day/Daffodil Festival (Virginia)/Tutor Appreciation Day/Festival Of Flowers (North Carolina)

I can't believe I actually walked all the way from where the coach dropped us off to the entrance of Sentosa Cove and then back almost the whole way again, just to find a place to sit down and read my book while waiting for the groups to find me. In the end, they all came knocking in the last half-hour or so. I'm almost down with Across The Bridge Of Sighs, which isn't as good as Venetian Stories, if only because it verges more on a gossip fest than its predecessor. Though I suppose that's the point of the stories really, peeling back the genteel decay of Venice to look at all the bitching behind the scenes. Still, it sounds like a fascinating city. Am going to read the collected stories of Angela Carter next. Couldn't resist reading one to get a taste of her writing, and I liked what I read. Incidentally, I was hanging out at VivoCity with some of the girls after coming back from Sentosa, and I think the Marché outlet there is amazing! Anyway, I still think VivoCity is way too crowded for my liking, but I suppose if I had to eat there...
