Bunsen Burner Day/Mawlid al-Nabi/Cesar Chavez Day (California)/Lazarus Saturday/Mahavir Jayanti
2007-03-31 @ 11:55 p.m.

Paid up for my course today, and being a very self-aware person, I should note here for posterity that I'm really a sucker for nice people, or at least people who make me believe that they're nice people. Maybe it's because most people in camp have this hostile edge, so I just look more favourably on people who behave otherwise. Anyway, I realised this morning that I'd made a reservation at the wrong Settler's Café outlet, so had to correct that mistake. It turned out fine in the end, since I originally managed to get a table for only two hours but we somehow managed to end up staying for another two. Got to love the friendly staff, and we tried some really cool games this time. The Clarke Quay area seemed kind of quiet tonight, but maybe it's because we were really on the outskirts along North Canal Road. Caught a movie with Ben in the afternoon, Breaking And Entering. It was quite different from what I'd expected after seeing the trailer, but in a good way. The usual gripes about unconvincing onscreen relationships aside, it was a decent show, although Jude Law doesn't look as sexy as he normally does. He looks a bit old and rumpled actually! All in all, it was a great way to spend a Saturday, just kicking back and relaxing in good company...
