CMTL guy came down, couldn't fix the problem, so he's going to consult his superior, who talks to me with just a hint of surliness that annoys and petrifies me at the same time. The whole rank and file distinction really doesn't make for very transparent dealing in the military. (That's the way I feel.) Wrote a long e-mail to Yumun just now, and I realise that I miss my JC friends a lot, more than I allow myself to feel in the course of camp drudgery. My mum thinks that it's a redeeming quality, this being able to get on with doing things despite not believing in one iota of it and complaining incessantly about it. I agree, because the alternative is to behave like certain people in the store. Oh heck, I'm talking about Wilson and Yong Hui. I don't care anymore if they ever read this. Hey, everyone has their problems. I don't care if it sounds unsympathetic, but whatever's going on in your life, if you use it as an excuse to pity yourself and then resort to escapist behaviour to cope, you don't deserve my respect.
