Cell at Nicholas's house because he's still recovering from his operation and it isn't convenient for him to jostle with the crowds assaulting our public transport system. Seriously, can you imagine what it's going to be like if our population actually reaches the projections we've been reading about lately in the newspapers? This is where averages don't tell the whole story. I wonder at what times do all the people doing studies on public transport take the buses and trains? They're obviously not taking them at the times that matter. That said, the frequency of buses and trains does go up during peak periods. It's just that most Singaporeans are so impatient they'd rather pack themselves like sardines than wait a couple of minutes for the next bus or train. I'm not very Singaporean in that regard. I need my space. I especially can't stand women with long hair in trains who just have to keep flicking their hair. I mean it's okay if you do it once, but repeatedly? Anyway, our cell, which come to think of it is actually kind of big, squashed into his living room. Quite cosy. I'll definitely miss my cell when I go abroad. |
