Mother's Day (UK)/Grandparents And Grandchildren Day/Paper Dress Day/Buzzard Sunday (Ohio)/Awkward Moments Day/St. Patrick's Day Parade (Massachusetts)

Have been reading Seven Japanese Tales by Tanizaki. It's interesting, and a little disquieting. Literature that's been translated from another language tends to have that effect on me. I don't know, maybe it's a cultural thing, but I'm hardly ever perturbed by stuff I read from American and English writers. One of the rare occasions was when I read Danielewski's House Of Leaves. Okay, I think it's definitely a cultural thing. Am feeling a little stressed about the coming week in camp. My colleague borrowed Robert Greene's The 48 Laws Of Power from the library on Friday, after seeing it on a blog which I'd told another guy to check out. So we were going through the laws, and I realised that in camp, I actually apply about 30 of them in dealing with people. Outside, I tend to be just somewhat cruel and manipulative with my school friends, and generally much more pleasant to people from church. NS can really warp you! So beware, those of you who're enlisting...
