Ides Of March/Buzzard Day
2007-03-15 @ 9:08 p.m.

Couldn't get the room for practice on Saturday evening, so I'll just make do with the usual Sunday one. I think the telephone extension system the church is using now is odd. If you call, you'll realise that the recording begins in Mandarin, not English like in other places. Even in church, there's politics. It's like something my godpa said during last Sunday's sermon, about how we expect people working in Christian organisations to be better than people in the secular world, but we tend to forget that they're all still sinners anyway, fallible and so human. Anyway, spent some time in the afternoon reviewing a few lesson plans, because if I don't get cracking I'll never finish them by next month. I regret asking for this task, just a little, but it seems to be very effective in warding off my CSM's arrows, so that's good. I just want my team IC to go to Taiwan and leave me to get on with things in peace. He really ought to trust me more...
