Visited Doris's place today with the rest of my cell, and because she doesn't have a mahjong table, we just ended up around the dining table, catching up and talking about totally random things. Then I went out for dinner with my family and bought two BoA albums and Shayne Ward's self-titled debut. Her dancing is amazing, and damn, that guy can really sing. Anyway, do we really need another publicised celebrity meltdown? If you wanted to sum up Britney Spears's life in one song, perhaps her own Lucky would be apt. "If there's nothing missing in my life, then why do these tears come at night?" Then again, people like Christina Aguilera are living proof that you can go from being a manufactured teenage sensation to serious music credibility, or at the very least, fade quietly into obscurity like Willa Ford and Mandy Moore, although the latter has an album slated for release this year so maybe it's not time to write her off just yet. In any case, isn't it ironic that the press is going on and on about how Britney is crying out for help and everything, but they still won't leave her alone? Celebrity is such a vicious thing. Transactional analysts would have a field day analysing Hollywood... |
