God has been good today. First there was a downpour in the morning, so no run. Then the new 2IC turns out to be one of the nicest warrant officers I've ever come across. Total opposite of our IC! You could even describe him as fatherly, which is scary because that isn't an adjective normally associated with people here. Hopefully, he'll take over and our IC can happily sod off and do whatever it is he does when he's not tormenting people. Finally, someone coming in who might actually make our life easier! Have been having minor outbreaks of hives all week. Maybe I'm allergic to grass or mud? Should probably get some skin tests done, but now's a busy period in camp, so it's kind of hard to take time off without disrupting things. If it doesn't get better over the weekend after I pop a Zyrtec or two, I'm seeing the camp MO.
