Dance Day/Apricot Day/Stepfather's Day
2007-01-09 @ 11:18 p.m.

I can't believe I stayed back more than an hour to test equipment for another unit. Again. Even our superiors are asking why we're helping other people, because if we do it once, we're definitely going to have to do it again. Where does it stop? Next thing you know, we'll be maintaining all of their equipment, in addition to our own. Ridiculous! So in the end, almost none of the links were up by the end of the day, so we kind of achieved nothing except to fry equipment that might otherwise have continued working. Sometimes I wonder how any of this is supposed to contribute to the defence of the country if it's so liable to break down. What do we do? Call a time-out during a battle? I guess what totally ticks me off about the whole thing is that we're being taken for granted. They just assume that we're coming to help them, as if it's our duty to do so. It isn't, simply because we're really doing them a favour by coming over to help. A little gratitude would be nice, but it seems we're not getting any at all. Nope, not even a single day off in sight, which is really the least they could offer. Freaking lazy people, ordering others to do last-minute work...
