It rained throughout the lesson, stopping just when we'd finished for the day. So I left my wet uniform and boots in camp and headed over to Rui Min's. Was the second person to arrive, after Yi-Xun, whose long hair drew remarks from just about everyone present tonight. Exactly half of the class was there, so it was great seeing people again! More of the army guys would have been there had it not been a working day, but that's the kind of obstacle we just have to deal with in these two years if we want to meet up at all. It's quite funny to listen to the conversations going on among 10 people who are leading such different lives. There's the NS group, and it goes without saying what they talk about. Then there's the university bunch, swapping tales from different sides of the Atlantic. Occasionally, a topic comes up that everyone has something to say about. Yet that's just how life is, isn't it? Grow apart together, if you can make sense of that.
