Hanukkah/Lemon Cupcake Day/Firefighters Day/Underdog Day/Birthday Of Alexandre Gustave Eiffel
2006-12-15 @ 11:59 p.m.

What started out as a Settler's Café outing for six shrank to four because Dan and Thong couldn't make it, and then grew to seven because Ka Tsai somehow found Mark Tan, Matthias and Zhong Xing. We didn't try any new games, but it was still fun, in the way these things tend to be for guys whose lives are routinised in the extreme. Eugene, Kay Hwee and I had dinner before that at Al Dente Trattoria, which cost us more than $100 (and wasn't exactly worth it). The Long Island tea tasted funny, and also made me a bit tipsy because I downed it so quickly. I knew I should have ordered the lime margarita instead! Still haven't managed to find Possession, so I bought Babel Tower and Little Black Book Of Stories instead. Why is it that now when I want to buy the book, it's so insanely impossible to find the edition that I want? Cosmic joke...
