St. Nicholas Day/International Bad Hair Day/Give A Secret Gift Day/Constitution Day (Spain)/Microwave Oven Day
2006-12-06 @ 9:25 p.m.

Going for the Casting Crowns concert on Friday, so I just downloaded both the albums to have a listen. The music reminds me of Chris Tomlin actually. Lyrically, very good! Can't wait for the concert. It's kind of weird that it's happening just across the road, but that's what happens when you have a huge church built opposite your block. Finished reading The Game today, and I don't really like the ending. It was emotionally unsatisfying and somewhat unconvincing too. Byatt's prose is beautiful, but somehow it's hard to buy Cassandra's suicide, which is somehow supposed to be the inevitable end toward which the novel has been pushing inexorably. The change that overcomes Julia is slightly more believable as a natural consequence of the novel's events. Maybe it's because this is an early novel? Possession seemed better, from what I remember, though I never finished it, which is something I intend to rectify soon. After all, Kinokuniya is having a Christmas promotion...
