Reading Byatt's The Game is a lot scarier when you discover that there isn't exactly any love lost between Byatt and her own sister. I'm glad I decided to buy this book instead of the one that Shirley said she preferred. Had this random conversation with Vaish, and boy, do I miss that girl! Plus it's nice to finally be appreciated for my ability to poke non-vicious, snide fun. I never thought that would ever happen. Just for that, Vaish, I'll remember you, even if you aren't coming back for a ridiculously long while! (Yes, it is your fault. Come on, admit it already...) On a side note, I don't know if I should hope to be unable to go to Bangkok just to spend more time with you. (This is another "you", obviously.) Sure, I miss you and all that jazz, but do you miss me too? Or do you just say that because it's what we're supposed to say? I wish I knew the answer once and for all. The heart is a funny thing. Now I'm the one who's brooding. Damn...
