Computer Security Day/Clear Up The Clutter Day/St. Andrew's Day/Pirates In Paradise Festival (Florida)/Independence Day (Barbados)
2006-11-30 @ 10:45 p.m.

Yesterday was the first anniversary of BooksActually, so Shirley and I went down to pay the place a visit. (No, it wasn't for the tea and waffles, which we didn't partake of anyway!) Bought The Matisse Stories and The Game, both by A.S. Byatt. Finished reading The Matisse Stories in one day, and I loved it! The descriptions are almost sinfully rich, and now I definitely must get Possession. BooksActually has quite a few books by Nabokov that aren't readily available at Borders or Kinokuniya, so there's a reason to go back, aside from Shirley wanting one of the notebooks sold there. I was also pleased to see Pamuk's work being sold, since just about everything that's sold here has substantial literary merit, unlike what you might find at Borders or Kinokuniya. So I'm definitely coming back here in the future, once I get more money. My IPPT result is going to be endorsed, so that translates into $100. Haha...
