Pencil Day/US Marine Corps Day/International Pickle Festival (New York)/Doo Dah Parade (California)

Nope, haven't written to anyone yet. Looks like it'll really have to be done during my leave. I've been keeping track of how long my iPod battery lasts, and maybe, just maybe, it isn't defective after all. It might just be due to the generally high bitrate of my music, which supposedly causes the battery to drain faster. Undoubtedly, Apple arrives at its estimated battery life by testing iPods under the most controlled of situations. I'm waiting to see if I can make the battery last 10 hours. That'd be reasonably acceptable to me, since this model's battery is supposed to last up to 14 hours. Am thinking of doing one new song for each of the weeks that I lead worship in main service, starting from next week. Have to pick stuff with moderate tempos and simple melodies, otherwise I'll just have people staring blankly at me again...
