Dessert Day/Columbus Day (Belize)
2006-10-12 @ 8:42 p.m.

Lately, I've been sleeping a lot in camp and generally have been a lazy bum as much as possible. Not a good thing to get used to, especially since the good times are coming to an end next week. Failed IPPT for the usual reason, although for someone who hasn't been exercising regularly, I'm actually still in pretty good shape, judging by IPPT standards. Finished yet another poem yesterday, and I think it's okay, but would be better if I could write snappier opening and closing stanzas. As they are, they kind of detract from the middle section of the poem, which is hardly heavyweight stuff. Clever imagery, perhaps, but nothing earth-shatteringly amazing. Think I'll leave it alone for a couple of weeks and see whether I can think of anything to improve it. Am going to watch Le Couperet tomorrow with Thong at The Cathay!
