Bathtub Day/Frappe Day/Clergy Appreciation Weekend
2006-10-07 @ 11:59 p.m.

I watched Once Upon A Mattress today, which was incredibly funny! Full of ridiculous songs that you can't help but smile at, if you haven't lost your childhood sense of humour. I think it beats the original fairytale hands down. Can you believe the PSI hit 150 tonight? That must be some sort of all-time high in Singapore in at least five years. VivoCity opened today, so some of us went there after cell to check the place out. Only about half the retail and F&B places were open. Think the place will only be fully open in December. The architecture's really cool, especially the rooftop. Plenty of place to get a nice photograph or two, which is what we tried to do, with limited success because of the haze. I think when all the tenants are ready, this place will make Orchard somewhat irrelevant. In terms of retail, VivoCity's just about on par with Paragon, which is my idea of retail paradise. Not too sure about the F&B side, but the neighbouring HarbourFront Centre just about provides whatever might be missing in VivoCity itself. Like New Zealand Natural! The only problem is that the location is kind of inconvenient in comparison to Orchard. Unless you're a tourist who happens to be coming back from Sentosa, in which case it makes perfect sense to shop there. Haha...
