Durga Puja/All Angels Day/Pumpkin Day/Coffee Day/Goose Day/Michaelmas Day
2006-09-29 @ 8:59 p.m.

It was a slow day in camp. I'm still kind of bummed that I have to go for Exercise Wallaby, but I'll get used to the idea eventually. Totally random this is, but I just discovered that Mr Miyagi went for Exercise Wallaby last year. Have been reading some books of poetry I borrowed from the library on Wednesday, including Edward FitzGerald's "translation" of the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, which I mentioned I wanted to read back in June, and an Auden anthology. I like Auden actually, and the only reason I haven't read him before now is that I don't like people to tell me what to read, and for someone who likes literature, I don't read as widely as some of my friends have. I'm actually heaidng down to BooksActually tomorrow after I reluctantly attend a vocal session tomorrow in church. It'd better be good! (I mean the vocal session, BooksActually is impossible not to love.) I'm going to buy some local poetry...
