Ramadan/Kiss Day/Good Neighbor Day/Innergize Day/World Heart Day
2006-09-24 @ 10:11 p.m.

Practice today was kind of messy. Still very distracted, thinking about camp stuff. Thank God my irascible boss is leaving for Taiwan soon. Things in camp will return to normalcy for a few weeks then. Anyway, worship turned out okay in the end. I wonder if anyone picked up on the thematic linkage between the songs and CAP Sunday. It was obviously deliberate, so I just want to know if it helped to prepare people to go out into the neighbourhood. I was with Hui Juan and Joshua, and it's kind of funny to hear them speaking Mandarin. They speak it like I speak Cantonese, which is to say, somewhat awkwardly and haltingly. We made it through six floors, with about half of the residents opening their doors for us. I suppose what you really need to let go of is the fear of rejection. I think most people are a lot more receptive to you when they hear that your event's being organised with their RC. My cell's supposed to be road marshals for the lantern procession that evening. I'll go because I happen to want to, but I'll probably be late because I definitely want to go home and freshen up first.

This week:

Angel Week

Dog Week
