Rosh Hashanah/Ice Cream Cone Day/American Business Women's Day/Native American Day/Autumn Leaf Festival (Washington)
2006-09-22 @ 10:05 p.m.

Our boss wants all of us to get involved in military exercises. He wants three people to go to Australia from late October to early November as drivers for Exercise Wallaby. The rest of us will have to support any local military exercises. This is something unheard of for us CSOs, the overseas bit at least. I'm definitely not going to go overseas. Just going to dig in my heels and pressure someone else to go. I don't care what he threatens us with, I'm not volunteering. He's really a crazy bastard! I've decided that I say yes too easily when people ask or demand things of me, so from now on, I'm going to start saying no. I'm tired of feeling guilty when I turn people down, especially when the guilt comes from a sense of not having done my Christian duty, which while sometimes true, is extremely warped when it's applied to every aspect of your social interaction. Incidentally, this is also the perfect opportunity for you to determine where you stand in my social circle. Come on, just try me...
