Positive Thinking Day/Programmer's Day/Peanut Day/Helicopter Day
2006-09-13 @ 7:01 p.m.

Today, I painted the interior of a couple of Unimogs using a small brush. I only painted the floors and tailboards, but the whole thing's just another exercise in futility. I say futility, because it won't satisfy our boss, and it also won't keep the vehicles from starting to rust again the moment the next downpour comes. This should be done by professionals, like the people who manufactured the damn thing! If assault wasn't a chargeable offence, in both civilian and military contexts, one of us would surely have taken out our boss today. He's impossible to please, doesn't respect anybody (except people who can do programming for him), behaves like a complete arsehole, and is generally speaking, a very unpleasant person to have around. I don't think I've ever wished for anyone to die of a stroke before, so he's got the dubious honour of being the first.
