Onam/Teachers' Day (India)/Be Late For Something Day/Cheese Pizza Day
2006-09-05 @ 10:04 p.m.

Can you believe they actually waited more than an hour until there was no more lightning just to conduct a stupid run? Annoyed me plenty. Nonetheless, I dutifully jogged along for as long as I felt like it. It's an irony that I've become quite unfit, even as my whole frame has visibly slimmed down. I'm tryin to drop another couple of kilogrammes and lose an inch or two about the waist. Vanitas vanitatum! Signed the paperwork today, so I've officially finished taking over my first Unimog. All that's left is for my superior to countersign the form, and I'm stuck with the vehicle until my own understudy comes. Life in camp is getting very mundane. I shuttle between the store and the e-Plaza, with a single foray to the cookhouse for lunch. One good thing about having my new boss around is that now the RO is always damn early. The downside is having to wait 15 minutes for the chartered coach to Choa Chu Kang MRT. I could spend money taking the bus, but that kind of works against the whole spend-as-little-as-possible-on-transport mantra that I'm operating on right now. It would be nice if someone with a car would offer me a ride everyday. Yeah, that would be really nice...
