Labor Day/Bright Idea Day/Labour Day (Canada)
2006-09-04 @ 10:14 p.m.

We're supposed to take over all the Unimogs from our "upperstudies", so we're doing stocktaking this week. (For the pedants out there, the word "upperstudy" and its plural derivative seem to be the peculiar invention of our beloved military organisation, which somehow regards the antonym of "under" to be "upper", rather than the more intuitive "over".) The first vehicle I took over was in near-perfect order, except for the OLTUs, which have serial numbers that don't match up with the original numbers in the inventory. My "upperstudy" reassures me that this is perfectly acceptable, so long as the physical quantities in all our vehicles are correct. I'm not very convinced. Am awaiting the time when I have to inventory my other vehicle, because this other "upperstudy" just doesn't seem as organised!
